 WOW!!!! We just got some of these in and are they nice!! This beautiful piece is handcarved from south american laurel. We had them made in three pieces. Base, stem, and shelf. This saves us from damage when they come in a cargo shipment. It will be assembled when it arrives at your door. If you need to take it apart for any reason though it is all hand done craftsmanship using wood pegs and holes. It has a gorgeous cherry brown painted finish. You really have to see it in person to appreciate the beauty. It measures 14" side to side and 14.25" in height. That is the measurements for the actual shelf where your book will be displayed. The column at its tallest point is approximately 9". being solid wood it is not adjustable.
